MORGAN HILL – The Silicon Valley Renegades are in Tucson Arizona today were they will be playing in the Triple Crown Spring National Invitational.
The tournament will have some of the top ranked teams in the Nation playing in this prestigious event which includes the No. 5 ranked Dalls Tigers, No. 8 ranked Seattle Stars, No. 12 ranked Tucson Wildcats, No. 14 ranked Silicon Valley Renegades, and the No. 22 ranked Scripp Ranch Falcons from McAllen, Texas.
The Silicon Valley Renegades are off to a strong start this season with an impressive 12-0-1 record and winning the Super Series Spring Qualifier Tournament in Modesto two weeks ago.
In addition, the Renegades won the Silicon Valley Dugout Classic last week in San Jose.
The Renegades have outscored their opponents in their last 10 games 107-23. The offense was led by Justin McPherson – who has a .470 batting average with 15 runs-batted-in. The defense was outstanding led by shortstop Tucker Laurence – who had 14 puts outs and assisted on three double plays.
The pitching staff did an excellent job as well in the tournament and was led by Chris Barber – who pitched a complete game in the Superseries and was the winning pitcher in the Dugout Classic last weekend in San Jose.
