The South County All-Denominational Summer Hymn-along team announced that it will hold its first annual “hymn-along” on Friday, Aug. 6, 7 p.m. at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

“The ‘hymn-along’ is a response to so many church members requesting a 100 percent hymns of our faith evening,” said hymn-along organizer, John Murphy. “The ‘hymn-along’ will last one hour, and consist of singing many of the world’s favorite hymns. No pastoral message or preaching time will be involved rather the hymns will simply speak for themselves.”

Local pastors have been very supportive and this will be a wonderful chance for Christians in South County to gather together in song on a warm summer evening,” said Murphy. This event is free and open to the public.
