The 2003 National Family Week Poster Contest drew artwork from 320 Morgan Hill students, 189 from kindergarten through third grade, 109 from grades 4-6 and 22 from grades 7-9.

The purpose of the contest is to encourage family activities and each poster shows the artist’s particular favorite. Winning posters showed placing a star on a Christmas tree, cuddling, jumping in a leaf pile, riding bikes, skiing, pink Jeep tours in a canyon, playing soccer, backpacking and playing at the beach.

The winners, three from each age level, were announced Friday by contest organizers. First place winners will host a pizza party for their classes. All nine posters are on display through Friday, Dec. 5 at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road at East Dunne Avenue.
