What inspires you?
“What inspires me to achieve my goal is seeing my parents work hard for everything that they support for me. It makes makes me want to be able to do the same for myself when i get older.”
What is your favorite subject in school and why?
“My favorite subject in school is math because it is super easy for me and I get drawn into math. It is the one subject that I can do everyday with no difficulties.”
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?Â
“If i had the power to change anything in the world it would be the power to end heart disease. Since I was a child I was diagnosed with cardiovascular defects, which makes me one of the 800,00 Americans in the United States today also diagnosed with the defect. It is one of the hardest battles I have gone through and still learning everyday to adjust to. My helpful family, friends, doctors, and school staff make every step for me easier to overcome.”
If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
If I can visit any place in the world I would visit Rome to see the historical architecture and monuments. Along with trying all of the food.Â
Name one big challenge in your life right now:
The biggest challenge for me right now is juggling time for my health, work, family and school all at once. The challenge is teaching me many new things but mainly increasing my appreciation I have for my parents.Â
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a cardiac pediatric nurse in the Southeast. I want to reach out to children to inform them that they are not alone in the battle and they will have the chance to grow old and experience everything that they want. I have an idea of being a nurse in the Southeast because the rate of cardiac defects are higher.Â
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what three things could you not live without?Â
I wouldn’t be able to live without food, a boat and gasoline.Â
