On behalf of the South County Democratic Club, I would like to invite your readers to “Party with the Democrats.”
Local Democrats will be gathering with their families to enjoy life together. It is time to forget about the presidential results last November and to look forward to the positive political changes that will be happening nationally over the next four years.
The organization with the Democrats takes place Saturday, April 23, noon-4pm at the San Martin Country Park (The Pumpkin Patch), 13865 Monterey Road. Admission to the park is only $5 for adults and children over the age of 12. Included in the admission is the music of DJ Chon Mata, barbecued chicken, games, train rides and a barnyard zoo.

Expected to attend the event with their families are the following prominent local Democrats: U.S. Representative Zoe Lofgren, Assemblyman John Laird, Assemblyman Simon Salinas, Mayor Dennis Kennedy, Councilmen Greg Sellers and Mark Grzan, Water District Director Rosemary Kamei, Open Space Director Alex Kennett and Congressional candidate Jerry McNerney.
