SARATOGA — Sobrato delivered on all fronts Monday in beating Prospect by a fitting score of 4-0 in Saratoga.

Nicole Larson made three spectacular plays at shortstop, and Frankie Kellett delivered on the rubber and at the plate, pitching three no-hit innings to go with a 2-for-3 batting effort, as the Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-4 in Santa Teresa Division softball.

Monday’s game was a make-up from last week and served as a good steppingstone for Sobrato, which will visit second-place Santa Teresa at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The Bulldogs will be coming off, arguably, their best performance this spring.

Larson stole the show, laying out to catch a line drive and showing her range in stopping two hard-hit ground balls –- one was a diving attempt with runners at second and first. The junior also drove in a run, stole two bases and scored once.

Kellett struck out three and walked one, and Katie Machado allowed three hits and two walks in four shutout innings to get the win.

Sobrato also received slap singles from Nicole Kiles and Samantha Ribeiro, with Kiles adding an RBI, and Ribeiro a stolen base. Teammate Kallie Klinger finished 2 for 3 with a triple and stole a base as well.

Third baseman Heather Johnson foiled a safety squeeze by Prospect, pump-faking to first to start a 5-2-6-1 rundown.
