Local residents enjoyed the music and dance from different cultures Sunday.
The concert featured the cultural diversity of Morgan Hill’s sister cities in Mexico, Italy, Ireland and Japan. It was held at the Community and Cultural Center. Titled “Breaking the Sound Barrier,” the event used music and dance to celebrate the broad cultural community of Morgan Hill. Conceptualized and organized by Morgan Hill Sister Cities, the Library, Culture, and Arts Commission of Morgan Hill and the newly organized El Toro Culture and Arts Committee, the event included a representation of Hispanic, New Orleans Jazz and Blues, Polynesian, Italian, Irish, Japanese, and American culture through music and dance.
