Sheriff’s log: Grand, petty, identity and mail theft

Drugs: Robert Flores, 40, 11:02 p.m. July 13 on Monterey Road at Leavesley Road in Gilroy, for possession of drug paraphernalia and resist, obstruct, delay arrest. The suspect was riding his bicycle in the wrong direction without any reflectors and then fought with deputies while in process of being detained.
• Amber Caroline Haight, 41, 11 a.m. July 10 on the 13000 block of Kimble Court at San Martin Avenue in San Martin, for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
• Jose Ponce, 44, 11:15 p.m. July 10 on Monterey Highway at First Street in Gilroy, for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Victor Noel Vaca, 28, 10:56 a.m. July 13 on 6th Street at Chestnut Avenue in Gilroy, for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Grand theft
• An unknown suspect(s), between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on the 4100 block of Sheldon Avenue in Gilroy, removed four taillights and four tires with rims from the victim’s trailer, worth $1,000.
Theft
• An unknown suspect(s), 3:23 p.m. July 9 on the 1300 block of James Court at Murphy in Morgan Hill, used victim’s debit card to buy a $150 Macy’s gift card in North Carolina.
Petty theft
• An unknown suspect(s), between 12:05 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 10 on the 10000 block of Center Avenue at Rucker in Gilroy, entered an unlocked car and stole $30 in cash and a debit card.
Identity theft
• An unknown suspect(s), between 8 a.m. June 10 and 5:18 p.m. July 10 on the 30 block of San Martin Avenue in San Martin, used the victim’s name and other personal identification to withdraw $300 from a checking account. Additionally, someone attempted to open multiple credit cards and make multiple purchases using the victim’s information.
• An unknown suspect(s), 12:15 p.m. July 15 on the 13000 block of Colony Avenue in San Martin, opened a Walmart Discover card using victim’s name and personal identification and then charged $1,266 to the card.
Mail theft
• An unknown suspect(s), 4:25 p.m. July 10 on the 14000 block of Foothill Avenue in San Martin, stole the victim’s mail from their mailbox.
Burglary
• An unknown suspect(s), between 3 p.m. July 9 and 7 a.m. July 10 on the 15000 block of Sycamore Drive at Sunnyside Avenue in Morgan Hill, placed a ladder to gain entrance through an unlocked window of a residence and stole over 100 renaissance-type paintings and artifacts worth $1,000.
• An unknown suspect(s), between 3 p.m. July 12 and 7:20 a.m. July 15 on the 15000 block of Sycamore Drive in Morgan Hill, smashed the sliding glass window of a residence, worth $380, and damaged two oak dressers, worth $200.
