Selecting students for the Morgan Hill Times’ annual senior spotlight honor is no enviable task. That’s why we make the principals, school counselors and staff sort it out. These students have navigated the labyrinth of high school hurdles, and we are inspired by their optimistic outlook, refreshing attitudes and heartfelt honesty. We celebrate them, their families, their mentors and all the graduating seniors in the Class of 2021.

What are your plans after high school?

After high school, I am looking to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science at UC Berkeley.

What is one of your fondest memories from high school?

One of my fondest memories from high school is winning a league championship in football and basketball.

How did you adapt to the disruption of your high school experience due to Covid-19 restrictions?

I was able to adapt to the difficult situation due to Covid-19, by managing my time and figuring out my priorities.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years I see myself working as a software engineer in the Bay Area and pursuing my other hobbies such as photography and filmmaking.

If you could leave one piece of advice for an incoming freshman, what would it be?

If I were to give one piece of advice to an incoming freshman, it would be to just try different things without thinking too much. If you don’t think it’s worth continuing pursuing, you don’t have to.
