GILROY — The Central Coast Barnstormers improved to 2-1 on the early season with a narrow 22-21 victory over the visiting South Bay Stallions on Saturday in Gilroy.

The win allows Central Coast to keep pace with the Salinas Spartans (2-1) in the National Conference — South.

Central Coast, a semipro football team in the Northern California Football League, will travel to Sacramento on Saturday for a Week 4 matchup with the River City Gators (2-0). Kick-off is 6 p.m.
