Residents are invited to learn more about their local fire and police departments at the annual Morgan Hill Public Safety Day and Open House Saturday.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Police Department, 16200 Vineyard Blvd.
Attendees will be able to meet local officers and firefighters, and get an up-close view of the SWAT trucks, police patrol vehicles, fire trucks, the police department and other tools they use to protect the community from crime and fires.
Food, games and prizes will be offered.
Scheduled attendees include Morgan Hill police, California Highway Patrol, Calfire, Santa Clara County Fire Department, Rural Metro and Silicon Valley Ambulance, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, Police Explorers, Community Emergency Response Teams, the Community Law Enforcement Foundation, and Volunteers In Policing representatives.
