Morgan Hill – Two San Martin residents were arrested early Thursday morning at a motel in Morgan Hill where they were allegedly set up to sell methamphetamine.

Robert Yurosko, 47, and Kathryn Perea, 31, were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on Thursday. Yurosko, who was on probation for possession of meth, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Perea had an outstanding warrant for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and she was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and for having false registration tabs on her vehicle.

According to Morgan Hill Police Department Sgt. Jerry Neumayer, MHPD Cpl. Ray Ramos was checking the parking lot of the Microtel Inn & Suites on Condit Road at approximately 3am on Thursday when he noticed a motorcycle parked strangely, with another vehicle blocking it. When he called in the license plate number of the motorcycle, he learned it was stolen.

In a search of Yurosko’s room at the Microtel, Ramos found approximately 10 grams of meth, scales, packaging materials and a small amount of cash, Neumayer said. Perea was also inside the room and was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Both Perea and Yurosko were arrested without incident, Neumayer said.
