No. 60 for Elsie Rose Luchessa and John Alciati
Even a speeding ticket could not keep John Alciati from marrying his bride, Elsie Rose Luchessa, June 30, 1946, in Salinas, and 60 years later they are still going strong. John and Elsie worked hard on their prune ranch and successfully raised their family in Morgan Hill. They celebrated their anniversary at Buca di Beppo in San Jose with their family: three children Don (and Sandy) Alciati, Al (and Sharon) Alciati and Rita (and Sean) Nyulassy; their grandchildren Jennifer Alciati, Krista (and Brian) Frederickson, John (and Carol) Alciati, Mike (and Kristen) Alciati, Josh Seehof, Jordan Mashburn; and their great-grandchild Ava Fredickson.

Brandon Stieber
Brandon Stieber, son of Debi and Paul Stieber of Gilroy, recently graduated from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is the grandson of Delores and Clyde Dheir of Sheboygan, Wisc., and Margaret Stieber. Brandon earned a bachelor’s of science degree in civil engineering and is working for a bio-med company in San Luis Obispo.

Military
Steven Ramos
Army Pvt. Steven Ramos has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
He is the son of David Ramos of Voltaire Drive, Cameron Park, Calif., and Kathleen Harris of Hollister.
Ramos is a 2002 graduate of Ponderosa High School, Shingle Springs, Calif.
