Patterson-Robledo
Jodi Patterson, daughter of Gordon and Jacqueline Patterson of Tucson, Ariz., and Carlo Robledo, son of Juan and Angela Robledo of Hollister, will be married Aug. 6, at Founders Chapel at the University of San Diego. Jodi is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate in autism and developmental disabilities. Carlo is a graduate of San Diego State University, and is currently a high school teacher and wrestling coach in San Diego.
Dunn-Hernandez
Ruth Dunn of Gilroy is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter Lora Dunn to Brian Hernandez, son of Ray and Debbie Hernandez of San Martin.
Lora graduated from Live Oak High School in 2000. She received her AA from Gavilan College and completed the cosmetology program at John Allen Hancock School in San Luis Obispo.
Brian is a 1999 graduate of Live Oak High School, where the couple met. He is currently employed by AMS Electric.
The couple will live in San Martin. Their wedding is planned for June 18 at Svedal in Morgan Hill.
Fraser-Denniston
Mr. and Mrs. John W. Fraser of Gilroy announce the engagement of their daughter Susan A. Fraser to Graham T. Denniston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Denniston of Alamo.
Susan is a 1998 graduate of Nidos De Aguila High School in Santiago, Chile. She received her BA degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2002. She currently works and resides in San Diego.
Graham is a 1999 graduate of De La Salle High School. He is a sergeant in the USMC stationed at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar in San Diego. He is a Navigator on C-130 Transport aircraft. A November wedding is planned.
Wedding
Dunn-Kulczewski
Lisa Dunn, formerly of Gilroy and the daughter of Ruth Dunn and the late Kenneth Dunn, was married April 26, in San Clemente to Philip Kulczewski of St. Claire, Mich. Philip is the son of Joe and Jean Kulczewski of St. Claire.
Their naval chaplain conducted the military wedding service in a beautiful beach-side setting.
Lisa and Philip met at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, shortly after her tour in Iraq. Both the bride and groom are serving in the U.S. Marines as staff sergeants. They are both trainers for aquatic survival. Philip has applied for officers training school and both have plans to continue in the military.
Military
Jason Anders
Jason Anders, 17, of Gilroy, has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy Class of 2009. Jason will represent Congressman Richard Pombo and Senator Diane Feinstein at the Academy, where he begins his Plebe this summer. Anders plans to spend his four years at the Academy studying engineering with a focus on aviation. After the Academy, he will serve a minimum of five years with the Navy or Marine Corps. Anders will graduate from Monte Vista Christian High School this June.
