Mary Schlim and Alex J. Bianchi were engaged to be married Nov. 8.
Mary, the daughter of William and Dorene Schlim, graduated from San Jose State University with a master’s degree in social work in 2002. She is currently employed with the County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency Department of Family and Children’s Services.
Alex, the son of George and Lois Bianchi, graduated from Oregon State University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is employed with Bianchi-Amaker construction as an assistant estimator and project manager.
Mary and Alex’s wedding is scheduled for Oct. 11 in Monterey.
