After allowing four first quarter goals, the Acorns could never recover Wednesday and fell 13-6 to Leland.

The loss drops Live Oak to 2-2 within the division.

David Moleyneux scored five goals in the loss for the Acorns. Alex Della Maggiore finished with one goal for the Acorns, who scored six times in the final two quarters.

Marissa Sendejas scored a game-high nine goals Tuesday in the Acorns 21-11 triumph over Lincoln.

The Acorns opened the contest with eight goals in the first quarter to take control of the game. Overall, nine Acorns scored in the game. Jessica Lawrence scored three times and Crystal Cardenas contributed two goals in the win.

Sobrato girls water polo

The Bulldogs came from behind in the second quarter to blow by Evergreen Valley 8-7 Wednesday in Morgan Hill.

After falling behind 2-1 after the first quarter, the Bulldogs rallied for four second-quarter goals to take the lead.

Sobrato extended its lead to 8-5 at the beginning of the final quarter, before holding onto the victory.

Live Oak Field hockey

Despite one goal in the first half, the Live Oak field hockey team fell to 3-5-1 with a 3-1 loss to Monta Vista on Wednesday.

Sydney Barker scored the Acorns lone goal.
