Cydney Caradonna scored 16 points to lead Christopher’s girls basketball team to a 51-45 win over Monte Vista Christian on Thursday in an opening game at the Watsonville Tournament.

Olivia Tabron added 15 points and Hanna Tabron scored 14 for Christopher (1-1), which outscored Monte Vista Christian 18-11 in the fourth quarter.

Myckenzie Toler led the Mustangs with 19 points, and Sydney Beadle added 11 points for Monte Vista Christian.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Christopher 61, Gunn 51 – The Cougars (3-1) downed the Titans to win for the first time in the Los Gatos Wildcat Shootout.

Wyatt Rocheleau led Christopher with 18 points. Dillon Day scored 14 for the Cougars, who got nine points from Shane Suttles, eight points from Evan Shapiro and seven points from Andrew Foster.

North Valley Baptist 49, Oakwood 46 – The Hawks (5-1) fell to the Bulldogs despite 17 points and five assists from Nate Schilling.

Justin Mortensen had nine points and seven rebounds for Oakwood, which got six points and eight rebounds from Brett Hall, eight points and three assists from Jonathan Angulo, two points and nine rebounds from Ryan Salamon and two points and six rebounds from Harsh Sikka.

BOYS SOCCER

Christopher 3, St. Francis CC Catholic 0 – Ipsen Tamayo, Jose Romo and Jacob Liberatore each scored in the second half to lead the Cougars (4-1) to victory.

Armand Kohamia and Jonathan Rojas had assists for Christopher, and freshman goalkeeper Carlos Arroyo posted a six-save shutout.
