A native Californian, Bob started life in Campbell and moved to Morgan Hill in 1938 with his parents John and Lydia Wilson, brothers John and Jim and sister Jean. He graduated from Live Oak High School in 1944 and immediately joined the army to fight in Europe.

He worked as a butcher until he retired at the age of 53. He was a long time member of the Morgan Hill Fish and Game and also a Sr. bowling member of both the Morgan Hill and Gilroy leagues.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne. His two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Ken Link and Barbara and Chris Nelson. He had four married grandchildren, Bobbie and Nathan Sterling, Kenny and Kirstin Link, David and Brittany Nelson and Danny and Sheena Link. He had six great-grandchildren: Audrie, Maddy, Matthew, Josh, Lizzie and Kenny III.

There will be a memorial celebration and lunch at the Morgan Hill Grange located at 40 E. 4th.St. on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers the Family would appreciate donations be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
