Richard Charles ‘R.C.’ Perry of Hollister, formerly of San Martin, died Oct. 11, 2004, at the age of 79.
R. C., born Aug. 18, 1925, was raised in Los Gatos. He was a farmer, truck driver and owner of R.C. Perry Trucking in Los Gatos and San Martin for more than 50 years. R.C. served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Glenna Perry of Hollister; children and their spouses Ronald and Carol of Morgan Hill, Adeline and Sam Pearson of Los Gatos, Ida and Mike Freitas of Morgan Hill, Gary and Teresa Perry of Gilroy, Eleanor Perry of Aromas, Mark and Tena Thorpe of Morgan Hill, and JoAnne and John Sarkisian of Hollister; sister Lois Beattie of San Jose; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service takes place at 6pm Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Johnson Funeral Home. The family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
