Nighttime roadwork will smooth out the rough roadway on northbound Highway 101 south of Tennant Avenue. Caltrans cones off two lanes, reducing traffic to one lane everyday after 7pm, backing traffic up for miles.
While driving on the new pavement will be a dream compared to the present bumpy, broken road bed, getting there has been a hassle
to motorists. Repaving southbound lanes will follow and work will eventually proceed north to Cochrane Road.
Between Cochrane and Metcalf Road, two southbound and two northbound lanes opened up in March 2003, easing the commute traffic.
