Parents value integrity, discipline and respect and often wonder how they can best pass their values on to their children. The key principles needed to raise an ethical child will be the subject of an open discussion with Mount Madonna School Principal and acclaimed educator Dr. Sarada Diffenbaugh.
The public is invited to attend the free seminar, “Raising a Moral Child in the Myspace Era,” on Oct. 26 at 7pm in the Gilroy Library meeting room, 7387 Rosanna St.
As principal at the non-sectarian Mount Madonna School, Diffenbaugh has helped many parents overcome the struggle with the difficulties of raising children.
Diffenbaugh encourages parents to look deeply underneath the noisy chatter of their everyday lives and use the culture, books, movies and even daily interactions with friends and others as a reflection and starting point for the discussion on values.
