They set to work early Saturday with 13-3 and 13-2 wins in their first two games and added another double-digit victory plus a shutout on Sunday.

In the championship game against the San Luis Obispo Shockwaves, Pride saw their 2-1 lead dissolve in the top of the 7th on a run-scoring triple. Pride battled back in their final at-bat with a lead off hit by Anisha Patel, who was then sacrificed to second by Alexis Bejarano.

A base hit by Katie Obbema and intentional walk to Marisa Faust loaded the bases for Katie Mains, who then put the game away with a would be grand slam to center field.

For the tournament, Mains also hit a double and two triples on her way to driving in 10 runs. Jennifer Obbema and Katie Obbma hit home runs;, Heather Johnson had three RBIs, scored seven runs and stole 10 bases; Ashley Zerr scored six runs and stole seven bases, Kirsten Doting had five RBIs and scored seven runs and Faust scored 10 runs.

The team will compete in the USSSA World Series the end of July in Independence, Missouri.
