Jenna Robertson did a great job on the mound as the Pride girls took on the Hollister Heat in the first game of the tournament. Singles were hit by Kourtney Kientzy and Robin Nelson. Allysa Barsanti made an outstanding throw from right field to home, and the tag was made on the runner to keep the Heat from taking the lead. Two Heat players were thrown out as they tried to steal third base. The girls worked well together during their first game.

Pride 5, Los Banos 2

Robin Nelson started the game two with a single. Kourtney Kientzy then laid down a beautiful bunt to advance the runners. During the game, Brooke Willis had a great hit to right field, and Mary Luna also laid down the perfect bunt. The girls played well defensively too. Angelica Michel and Shayna Osuna tagged two runners out who were caught trying to steal second base. The game was called because of time after the Pride put several runs on the board.
