Live Oak High junior track and field star Afari La-Anyane finished second in the varsity boys 110-meter hurdles in 15.14 seconds and sixth in the 300 hurdles in 41.46 during the Top 8 meet Friday at San Jose City College.

Also for the Acorns, Huafa Saulala took fourth in the varsity girls discus with a mark of 112 feet, 4 inches.

Sobrato’s Ryan Corvese was fifth in the varsity boys 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 22.96 seconds, and fourth in the 3,200 in 9:18.52. Bulldogs teammate Rebekah Inouye tied for fifth in the varsity girls high jump at 4-10.
