The Live Oak girls golf team swept Santa Teresa last week, despite not having a medalist in either day of competition.
The Acorns defeated Santa Teresa 209-231 at Gavilan on Oct. 9 and followed it up with a 191-207 win in San Jose the following day.
Santa Teresa’s Madison CrimiDeMichele shot the low round both days, with a 46 at Gilroy Golf Course and a 44 at Santa Teresa Golf Course.
For Live Oak, Kendall Guertin shot a 48 to lead the Acorns, followed by Amy Gunther and Janice Kim who both shot 52.
Live Oak won thanks to Santa Teresa’s other three golfers all shooting in the 60s
On Oct. 10, the Acorns again found a way to soften CrimiDeMichele’s round by having all around good scores.
Gunther shot the best round for Live Oak with a 46, followed by Kim with a 47 and Guertin with a 48.
Frances Giba had a 50 to round out the day.
