In his effort to continue trashing the environment, Republican Congressman Richard Pombo and the Republican Congressional Committee have been trashing our mailboxes for the past week with littered lies. Lies about Jerry McNerney not based on any facts or anything proven that Jerry has said. None of these ads references a single source of Jerry’s positions. In all this trash, there was not one sentence about why we should vote for Pombo. Even though he claims he’s a rancher, he has not brought home the bacon to the 11th District. Instead he keeps working to benefit the oil and gas companies that have given him more than $400,000. These oil and gas lobbyists are just one of his many, favorite corporate donors.
I’d rather vote for a man with new answers than Pombo who has no solutions. No solution for high priced oil dependence. No solution for massive budget deficits. No solution for getting us out of Iraq. No solution for the outsourcing of good paying jobs. No solution for affordable health care.
Pombo has had 12 years in Congress to come up with solutions, let’s elect McNerney the man with lots of answers. Check out his Web site and you will find the common sense answers McNerney has to offer.
