Morgan Hill Police are asking the public for help identifying two men who brandished a handgun at a Safeway employee while stealing liquor from the store.

The evening of Oct. 18, the two adult males walked into the Safeway at 235 Tennant Station and went “straight to the liquor aisle,” reads a post on the Morgan Hill Police Department’s Facebook page. As they walked out of the store with stolen merchandise, a Safeway employee confronted them. At that point one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the store employee.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a 2002-2005 two-door Honda Accord with damage to the passenger’s side door, according to police.

Police released a photo of one of the suspects, caught on Safeway’s security camera system. Authorities have not yet been able to recover a photo of the second suspect.

Anyone with information about this crime can call MHPD at (408) 779-2101.
