° Canyon Hill Customs on Railroad Street reported someone put horse manure on the doors and window of the business. The report was taken at 8:59am on Oct. 8.

° The rear window of a Subaru Legacy parked on DeWitt Avenue was shattered overnight. The report was taken on Oct. 8 at 10:13am.

° The rear window of a Nissan parked on Del Monte Avenue was shattered overnight. The report was taken on Oct. 8 at 5:24pm.

° A resident of the 17600 block of Peak Avenue reported that when he returned from a trip he found the window and the door to the garage were broken. The garage was locked and nothing was stolen. The report was taken at 8:47am on Oct. 9.

° A resident of the 2000 block of Barrett Avenue reported a political sign on her property was broken. The report was taken on Oct. 9 at 7:25pm.

° House of Bagels on Monterey Road reported someone took the patio table which was outside the restaurant and placed it on Monterey Road where a car ran into it. The report was taken at 12:40pm on Oct. 10.

Threats:

° A Morgan Hill resident reported her daughter has received threatening phone calls. She told police she did not know who was calling her daughter, but during one phone call the caller made reference to the daughter’s visit to Safeway and what she bought there. The report was taken on Oct. 9 at 9:08am.

Petty theft:

° A resident of Peebles Avenue reported someone stole her 18-month-old pit bull after it got out of the yard. The report was taken on Oct. 11 at 8:19am.

° A resident of San Pedro Avenue reported outgoing mail was stolen from the resident’s mailbox during the night. The report was taken at 1:59pm on Oct. 12.

° A resident of San Pedro Avenue reported someone stole a bike that was left on the porch. The report was taken on Oct. 12 at 11:40pm.

° Sobrato High School reported two students were stealing items from the locker room. The report was taken at 11:29am on Oct. 13.

° A Morgan Hill resident repo-rted the resident’s daughter’s cell phone was stolen from her backpack while she was at Britton Middle School. The report was taken on Oct. 13 at 2:39pm.

Burglary:

°Great Wall Imperial restaurant on Monterey Road reported someone broke into the business overnight, apparently through the emergency exit. The report was taken on Oct. 11 at 9:46am.

° Papa Murphy’s Pizza on Monterey Road reported the restaurant was broken into overnight after prying open the back door. Money was stolen. The report was taken at 10:33am on Oct. 11.

° West Coast Karate on Monterey Road reported an employee left the door unlocked, and checks, cash and credit card receipts were stolen overnight. The report was taken on Oct. 11 at 1:33pm.

Identity theft:

° A resident of Descansa Court reported an account for a cell phone service was opened using her Social Security number and address. The report was taken on Oct. 11 at 1:29pm.

CHP Accident

° A Morgan Hill resident and two San Jose residents were taken to the hospital Saturday night with minor injuries after a rollover accident on Highway 101. Catalina Montoya, 23, of Morgan Hill, Fawn Carranza, 20, of San Jose and Brian B. Ganancial, 23, of San Jose were in a Suzuki driven by Ganancial traveling southbound on the highway north of Bailey Avenue at approximately 8:31pm when the right front tire of the vehicle suddenly blew, causing the front end of the vehicle to shake and veer to the right. Ganancial attempted to steer back to the left, according to the CHP report, but the Suzuki instead careened out of control off the roadway edge, striking the concrete divider. The Suzuki rolled several times, coming to rest on its tires. Ganancial and his passengers were wearing seatbelts, and the report listed the injuries as minor. Montoya was taken to Valley Medical Center, and Carranza and Ganancial were taken to San Jose Medical Center.
