Burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported he returned home to find many items missing, including a digital camera, cash, diamond rings and a handgun. The resident suspects acquaintances who, he told police, would be the only ones to know where these items were kept. The report was taken on May 18 at 10:54 p.m.
• A resident of Wright Avenue reported she came home and found her home was broken into overnight while she was away. The bedroom window was broken, and the room was ransacked. The report was taken at 10:11 a.m. on May 22.
• Mama Mia’s Risotrante Italiano reported a storage unit behind the restaurant was broken into overnight. The report was taken on May 25 at 1:32 p.m.
Arrests and citations: Taiseer S. Qaddoura, 33, of San Jose was cited and released charged with reckless driving associated with a collision. The report was taken on April 26 at 7:19 p.m.
• Mario A. Gonzalez, 23, of Morgan Hill was cited and released charged with petty theft. The report was taken at 6:19 p.m. on May 1.
• Olivia Anderson, 20, of San Martin and Sarah K. Burns, 20, of Morgan Hill were taken to county jail charged with embezzlement and consipiracy. The victim was Longs Drugs. The report was taken at 4:08 p.m. on May 6.
• A 14-year-old San Jose female was cited and released charged with burglary. The report was taken on May 7 at 7:05 p.m.
• A 15-year-old Marina male was cited and released charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, grand theft of money and driving without a license. The report was taken at 8:10 p.m. on May 7.
• Jeffery M. Mercurio, 37, of Morgan Hill would have gone to county jail but posted bail charged with presenting a forged prescription, commercial burglary and receiving or concealing stolen property. The report was taken on May 13 at 6 p.m.
Arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance: Scott Rudy, 22, of Morgan Hill was cited and released. He was also charged with possession of paraphernalia. The report was taken on May 10 at 9:41 a.m.
Child abuse: A juvenile female ran away from her Morgan Hill home; when officers located her at Oakridge Mall, she told them her father was sexually abusing her. The report was taekn at 2:49 p.m. on May 16.
Fraud: Fox Racing USA, Inc., reported someone from Southern California has used another person’s credit card to make purchases over the phone from the company. The report was taken on May 19 at 8:27 a.m.
• Someone from Burger King corporate security reported one of the employees is using the identity of a Hollister woman. The report was taken at 8:49 a.m. on May 19.
Vandalism: A Dodge Durango that was parked at P.A. Walsh School overnight was damaged, possibly by someone trying to break into the vehicle. The report was taken on May 22 at 11:49 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported three teenage males throwing a ball at the security lights on the back side of the Britton Middle School gym. The resident reported one light had been broken, and the teenagers were attempting to break another. The report was taken at 5:22 p.m. on May 22.
Grand theft: A resident of San Pedro Avenue reported his son has been withdrawing money from his bank account, at least $650. The report was taken on May 21 at 9:04 p.m.
• A Tool Shed Equipment Rentals reported $3,315 in equipment was rented and due to be returned in December 2003. The customer has not returned the equipment, and the customer has been contacted several times. The business has a returned receipt from a registered letter sent to the customer. The report was taken at 9:26 a.m. on May 25.
Auto burglary: A resident of Carriage Drive Apartments reported his vehicle was broken into on May 17. It appears a “slim jim” was used. A $300 eel skin briefcase was stolen, as well as a carton of cigarettes and six CDs. The report was taken on May 19 at 11:25 a.m.
• A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported the resident’s Dodge Neon was broken into overnight. It appears a “slim jim” was used. The stereo was stolen. The report was taken at 11:47 a.m. on May 19.
• A resident of Barnell Avenue reported a window of his Oldsmobile was shattered and the stereo was stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken on May 24 at 6:42 a.m.
• A resident of Barnell Avenue reported the rear window of the resident’s pickup was shattered, but at the time of the report the resident had not determined what was stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken at 8:16 a.m. on May 24.
• A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported the resident’s Honda Civic was broken into overnight. The rear window was shattered, and CDs were stolen and possibly other items. The report was taken on May 25 at 8:19 a.m.
Threats: A resident of Dark Star Court reported a former coworker, who was fired for making death threats against the resident, has been calling her house and hanging up. The report was taken on May 21 at 4:22 p.m.
Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported her boyfriend beat her, pushed her, cut her hair and took the spark plugs from her vehicle so she could not drive away the night before. She told police she could not call when it occurred because he was there. The report was taken on May 19 at 9:19 a.m.
