accident Friday evening. Raul Camacho, 19, was taken by Calstar to
San Jose Medical Center and treated for a broken arm, leg and
pelvis and a skull fracture after the 6:14 p.m.

Accident: A Morgan Hill man suffered serious injuries in an auto accident Friday evening. Raul Camacho, 19, was taken by Calstar to San Jose Medical Center and treated for a broken arm, leg and pelvis and a skull fracture after the 6:14 p.m. accident on Dunlap Avenue in the unincorporated area east of Gilroy. According to the CHP report, Camacho was driving a Plymouth Colt eastbound on Dunlap nar Furlong Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. The Colt left the roadway and crashed into a power pole. As a result of the accident, power was out in the area for several hours.

Petty theft: Safeway reported a female took glasses and other items and stuffed them in her jacket before leaving the store. The report was taken on Dec. 15 at 7:57 p.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his locker at the 24 Hour Fitness Club was broken into and his wallet containing $100 in cash was stoeln. The report was taken at 8:25 p.m. on Dec. 15.

• Another 24 Hour Fitness member reported his locker broken into. The lock was broken and a Sony CD player, headphones and approximately 20 CDs were stolen. The report was taken on Dec. 15 at 9:05 p.m.

Battery: A resident of Del Monte Avenue reported her roommate’s cousin assaulted her. The report was taken at 4:22 p.m. on Dec. 14.

• A resident of Monterey Road reported her husband, who is on parole for selling drugs, grabbed her by the arm and started hitting her. She has bruises and cuts from the incident. The report was taken on Dec. 15 at 9 a.m.

• A resident of Barnell Avenue reported her sister’s boyfriend assaulted her and her sister, “throwing” her sister “around” and slapping the resident. The report was taken at 12:44 p.m. on Dec. 15.

Burglary: A resident of the 17700 block of McLaughlin Avenue reported her unlocked residence was broken into. She told police that the suspects came in through her open bedroom window and stole a $20,000 diamond ring from her jewelry box. She told police she thinks she knows the suspects. The report was taken at 12:10 p.m. on Dec. 14.

• CA Drawers reported that someobne came into the locked business and stole spray painting equipment valued at approximately $1,200. The report was taken on Dec. 15 at 2:06 p.m.

Vandalism: A resident of the 17200 block of Tassajara Circle reported someone broke the passenger window of his Ford Expedition. The report was taken at 12:26 p.m. on Dec. 3.

• A resident of the Villa Ciolino Apartments reported that suspects in a van drove by his residence then got out and slashed the tires of his vehicle. The report was taken on Dec. 3 at 8:24 p.m.

• Canary Communications reported a window of the business was shattered. The report was taken at 5:15 a.m. on Dec. 6.

• A resident of the 19000 block of Clayton Avenue reported someone stole a reindeer from his yard and broke a window of his truck. The suspect also left a bicycle in the yard. The report was taken on Dec. 7 at 8:06 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her vehicle was damaged while she was at a school function at Oakwood Country School. The report was taken at 7:20 p.m. on Dec. 8.

• A resident of the Madrone Mobile Home Estates reported his son became angry when he gave him an eviction notice. The son damaged the resident’s stove and broke a window in the home. The report was taken on Dec. 13 at 9:15 a.m.

Stolen vehicle: A Mazda pickup was stolen from Argon Construction. The keys were left in the vehicle. The report was taken on Dec. 6 at 10:12 a.m.

• A resident of Sullivan Court reported his new GMC Yukon was stolen from the residence. The keys were in the vehicle; the resident told police he is a fireman and was unloading his gear when he heard the vehicle drive away. The Yukon was equipped with Onstar, which later located the Yukon in San Jose. The report was taken at 7:37 p.m. on Dec. 12.

GILROY POLICE

• Steven Rene Ramirez, 33, of Morgan Hill, was arrested by Gilroy police on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 1:33 p.m. with warrants for charges of possession of a controlled substance, sale or transport of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
