Stolen vehicle: A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported the resident’s Toyota Camry stolen from the parking lot. The report was taken at 9:15 a.m. on June 29.
Tampering with a vehicle: A resident of the 600 block of Serpentine Court reported both license plates were taken from his Chevy Tahoe approximately three weeks previously. The report was taken on June 27 at 2:47 p.m.
• A resident of the 15800 block of La Mirada Court reported the rear plate was stolen from his Ford pickup. The report was taken at 5:21 p.m. on June 29.
Battery: A 67-year-old Morgan Hill female was taken to county jail charged with domestic violence. The report was taken on June 20 at 2:43 p.m.
• A 30-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with spousal battery. The report was taken at 2:24 p.m. on June 22.
• A 42-year-old San Jose male was taken to county jail charged with corporal injury to a spouse and vandalism. The report was taken on June 24 at 6:15 p.m.
• A 13-year-old Morgan Hill male was cited and released charged with battery with serious bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon after an incident at Britton Middle School. The victim was also a 13-year-old Morgan Hill male. The report was taken at 3:12 p.m. on June 27.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his 15-year-old son was slapped in the face by an adult male while at the Farmer’s Market. The report was taken on June 29 at 7:57 p.m.
Auto burglary: A resident of the 18500 block of Del Monte Avenue reported someone took his registration from his Dodge pickup while it was parked in the driveway. The report was taken on June 29 at 6:53 p.m.
Fraud: The Check and Cash reported a female attempted to cash a forged check. The report was taken on June 26 at 2:26 p.m.
Grand theft: Simple Beverages and Cigars reported approximately five bottles of champagne and one bottle of 30-year-old Scotch were stolen from the store. The report was taken on June 27 at 7:10 p.m.
• A guest of the Courtyard Marriott reported someone stole a diamond ring, valued at $1,500, while the guest was staying at the hotel on June 7. The report was taken at 9:05 a.m. on July 2.
Petty theft: A resident of the 500 block of Landau Court reported a check was stolen from the resident and then forged and cashed at Morgan Hill Liquors. The report was taken on June 25 at 10:51 a.m. The same resident called back at 10:52 a.m. to report mail is being stolen from his mailbox.
• A resident of the 700 block of La Crosse Drive reported several pieces of mail were taken from her mailbox on June 7, including three checks for $50. The report was taken at 12:09 p.m. on June 26.
• The Safeway grocery store reported two males attempted to steal a cart full of groceries but were not successful. They also allegedly tried the same thing at Longs Drug store. The report was taken on June 26 at 7:15 p.m.
• A resident of the 16400 block of Del Monte Avenue reported someone stole her cell phone from her room while she had several guests at her residence. The report was taken on June 30 at 12:53 p.m.
• A resident of the 200 block of Warren Avenue reported a two-foot tall concrete rabbit statue stolen from her front porch. The report was taken at 7:33 p.m. on June 30.
• Blockbuster Video reported a male took two movies from the store. The report was taken on June 30 at 9:16 p.m.
• The community mailbox on St. Lawrence Drive was broken into and mail was stolen from the boxes, a resident reported. The report was taken at 5:13 p.m. on July 1.
• The Deja Vu Salon reported three welcome mats stolen since April and some decorative potted trees that were next to the front door. The report was taken on July 1 at 6:29 p.m.
• A USA Today deliverer reported the newspaper stand at the Marie Callenders restaurant was stolen overnight. The report was taken at 3:45 a.m. on July 2.
