Robbery: No one was injured in an armed robbery early Monday morning at the Fast Stop store on Monterey Road at Vineyard Boulevard Monday morning. According to the report, at 5:40 a.m., a man armed with a semi-automatic pistol took approximately $350 in cash and merchandise from the store before joining an accomplice at the east exit and fleeing on foot.
The suspect was described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet tall, clean shaven, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Morgan Hill Police Department at 779-2101. Anonymous tips can be left on the Crime Stoppers Hotline, 778-7867.
Rape: A 33-year-old Morgan Hill resident reported that her brother-in-law raped her from the time she was seven until she was 10. The resident told police her brother-in-law has offered her $20,000 to “keep quiet,” and he is planning to leave for Mexico. The report was taken on May 30 at 2:13 p.m.
Threats: A Morgan Hill resident reported she was going door to door fundraising for the Girl Scouts and when she arrived at a residence on the 15000 block of La Mar Drive, a man opened the door, pointed a handgun at her and said, “Don’t you know I’m a cop.” The man never showed her any identification, she said, and she ran away. The report was taken on May 30 at 9:55 a.m.
Burglary: The owner of a laundromat reported his shop was burglarized overnight. Tools and keys were stolen. He said suspects likely entered through the back door. The report was taken at 11:13 p.m. on June 2.
Tampering with a vehicle: A rear license plate was taken from a vehicle at Sun Valley Tech Repair overnight. The report was taken at 12:45 p.m. on May 30.
Battery: A resident of the Archstone Apartments reported neighbors having a violent argument, with the female half of the company trying to jump out the window or escape by the balcony. The male half was reportedly hitting the female. The report was taken on May 30 at 10:29 a.m.
• An employee of Marie Callendars reported a co-worker pushed and challenged the employee. The report was taken at 8:57 p.m. on May 31.
• A resident of Morgan Hill reported that her boyfriend beat her up. The report was taken on June 2 at 11:46 a.m.
• A resident of Morgan Hill reported her ex-boyfriend beat her up two months previously when she was visiting her ex-boyfriends parents. The resident’s mother also said she wanted to report illegal intercourse with a minor. The report was taken at 12:25 p.m. on June 2.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her 18-year-old son was assaulted by someone he knew. The son told her he was choked by a the other male during a fight about the girl they were both dating. The report was taken on June 2 at 11:16 p.m.
• A resident of Del Monte Avenue reported her neighbor was beat up by five suspects, possibly more. The report was taken at 12:39 a.m. on June 3.
Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Buick Regal was stolen by two males. The report was taken on June 3 at 3:47 a.m.
• A resident of the Cochrane Village Apartments reported the resident’s Mitsubishi Eclipse was stolen overnight. The report was taken at 6:21 a.m. on June 3.
Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported he was in the Radio Shack and put his wallet on the counter. A male suspect stole the wallet. The report was taken on May 19 at 1:39 p.m.
• A resident of San Gabriel Avenue reported his mother’s husband stole his drill set and other items from his garage. He told police he was allowing the man to live there for a few days and that is when the theft occurred. The report was taken at 8:40 p.m. on May 21.
• A Live Oak High student reported her cell phone was stolen from her purse. The report was taken on May 27 at 3:27 p.m.
• A Britton Middle School student reported a cell phone stolen from the student’s backpack. The report was taken at 3:30 p.m. on May 27.
• An employee of the Ultramar reported a male suspect stole two 18-packs of beer. The report was taken on May 27 at 7:48 p.m.
