Auto burglary:

n A resident of the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue reported someone broke into the resident’s locked Saturn overnight. A window was shattered, and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken on March 23 at 7:28am.

n A vehicle parked in the 16100 block of Monterey Road was broken into. A window was shattered, and a diaper bag was stolen. The report was taken at 2:52pm on March 23.

n Fox Racing USA on Sutter Boulevard reported three employee vehicles were broken into. The report was taken on March 24 at 10:45am.

n A resident of La Tierra Drive reported the resident’s locked Chrysler was broken into overnight. The report was taken at 11:53am on March 24.

Petty theft:

n A Live Oak High student reported an iPod mini was stolen from the student’s locker. The report was taken on March 22 at 8:05am.

n A Morgan Hill resident reported she was dumping some items in the dumpster in Vineyard Town Center, and her purse was on the hood of her vehicle. She told police when she turned back to the vehicle, the purse was gone. The report was taken at 11:05am on March 24.

Identity theft:

n A resident of the 15100 block of Via Corfino reported someone was using the resident’s credit card number to charge items. The report was taken on March 22 at 3:47pm.

n A resident of the 18500 block of Butterfield Boulevard reported someone she works with is using her identity, and now the IRS “wants her for $6,000.” The report was taken at 1:24pm on March 23.

Burglary:

n The Hair Junction on Monterey Road reported the business was broken into overnight. The report was taken on March 17 at 8:18am.

n Global Mini Storage on Church Street reported another unit at the business was broken into. The report was taken at 3:43pm on March 18.

n Best Western Country Inn on Condit Road reported someone broke into the locked office. The report was taken on March 18 at 7:12pm.

n Techcon on Monterey Road and Second Street reported someone broke into the business overnight. The report was taken at 7:43am on March 21.

Child abuse:

n A Morgan Hill resident reported she was sexually abused by a relative when she was 8 and 9 years old. The report was taken on March 21 at 12:53pm.

n The friend of a Live Oak High student reported the student’s father beat her with a belt the night before while the student’s mother watched. The friend told police the student’s parents also pulled the student out of school because they found out she had a boyfriend. The student was aware her friend was calling the police. The report was taken on March 23 at 9:47am.

Indecent exposure:

n A resident of Venetian Way reported she was walking down the street and saw a man standing naked in the garage of a residence in the 15100 block of Venetian Way. The garage door was open, and the man was standing “in plain view,” the resident said. The report was taken on March 23 at 5:40pm.

Grand theft:

n The Music Tree on Monterey Road reported three microphones were stolen from the store. The store received an anonymous call accusing a music student of stealing numerous items from the store. The report was taken on March 21 at 1:44pm.

n A guest of the Residence Inn on Madrone Parkway reported her husband’s titanium Seiko watch and a tennis bracelet were stolen from a suitcase at the motel. The report was taken on March 22 at 11:40am.

n A resident of the Hacienda Mobile Home Estates reported his wife’s wedding ring was stolen when she was taken from home by ambulance to the funeral home in February. The resident said the ring is valued at $6,000.

Trespassing

n Custom Chrome, Inc., on Jacqueline Court reported an employee has been embezzling money from the business. The report was taken on Feb. 14 at 9:24am.
