Robbery: n A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident
’s 14-year-old granddaughter and three of her friends were
standing outside the Flying Dragon Chinese restaurant on Monterey
Road when they were approached by two 15- or 16-year-old females
who threatened the younger girls with a knife and took one of the
girls’ cell phones. The suspects alleged
ly told the girls they would return the phone for $20. The cell
phone was returned. The report was taken on April 23 at 8:07pm.
Robbery:

Grand Theft
n An employee of Rancho Grande Real Estate reported someone entered her office and took her laptop computer. There was no sign of forced entry. The report was taken on April 27 at 11:51am.
n An air compressor on a trailer was stolen from a construction site at Tennant Avenue and Highway 101. The report was taken at 9:24am on April 28.
n A gas-powered hydraulic pump valued at $4,000 was stolen from the back of a truck parked at the Bank of America in Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The report was taken on April 28 at 12:42pm.
n A resident of Claremont Drive reported a box of tools was stolen from the bed of his truck overnight. The box contained power and hand tools and work belts. The report was taken on April 22 at 7:51am.
n A resident of DeWitt Avenue reported an industrial pressure washer valued at $1,000 was stolen from the resident’s back yard overnight between April 22 and April 23. The report was taken at 7:18pm on April 25.
Burglary:
n West Bay Builders reported someone broke into the locked storage container on the construction site of the new courthouse building at Diana Avenue and Butterfield Boulevard overnight. The lock was broken, and numerous tools were stolen. The report was taken on April 25 at 7am.
n A resident of the 1600 block of Almond Way reported the resident returned home to find the back door open. A laptop was stolen and possibly other items. The report was taken on April 26 at 4:42pm.
n A business on Tennant Avenue reported someone broke into the business overnight and stole laptops, computers and other items. The report was taken at 8:28am on April 27.
n Carpenters’ Training Center on Woodview Drive reported the workshop area was broken into overnight and tools were stolen. The report was taken on April 27 at 10:01am.
Identity Theft
n A resident of Via Corfinio reported someone used his checking account but is not sure how someone got the number for his account. The report was taken on April 25 at 4:16pm.
Petty Theft
n The owner of The Pet Station on Monterey Road reported a large sign valued at $300 was stolen from outside the store overnight between April 20 and April 21. The report was taken at 4:26pm on April 23.
n Longs Drug Store on East Dunne Avenue reported a male suspect stole approximately eight boxes of Sudafed. The report was taken on April 26 at 2:19pm.
n Heidi’s Gifts on Monterey Road reported a male suspect switched price tags on three items and paid a total of $60 instead of $300. The report was taken at 7:04 on April 26.
n A resident of the 16800 block of Sundance Drive reported her mail was stolen. The report was taken on April 28 at 1:03pm.
n Big 5 Sporting Goods in Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported three males with a baby carrier stole four pairs of shoes. The report was taken at 2:53pm on April 28.
Battery
n A nurse at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital’s emergency room reported a female being treated there was assaulted in front of Betsy’s Restaurant in Tennant Station where the victim works. The victim told the nurse she had a verbal fight with unknown suspects and was later assaulted at approximately 12:30am. The report was taken on April 27 at 4:04am.
Brandishing
n A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident’s 10-year-old son was walking home from the store near Monterey Road and Wright Avenue when a known juvenile suspect pulled a knife out and threatened the boy. The report was taken on april 27 at 5:35pm.
