MORGAN HILL POLICE
Fraud: Baskin Robbins received a counterfeit $100 bill. The report was taken at 12:03 p.m. on March 28.
Battery: A resident of the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue reported four juveniles outside the apartment complex shooting pellet guns. The resident was shot but not injured. The report was taken on March 28 at 7:01 p.m.
Auto burglary: A resident of the 16800 block of DeWitt Avenue reported her Honda Civic was broken into and the hood was left open. The Civic was locked and the alarm was on. Two other residents of the same complex reported their locked vehicles were also broken into, including a Dodge Neon and a Mercedes. The report was taken on March 26 at 7:29 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his locked Chevy pickup was broken into overnight while it was at Advanced Auto Body. The stereo was stolen. The report was taken at 2:04 p.m. on March 28.
Threats: A resident of Las Casas de San Pedro reported she is being harassed by one of the complex’s maintenance workers. She told police she had a dating relationship with him and broke it off, but now he enters her house without permission. He entered her garage without permission the night before and would not let her leave, she said, then followed her to a friend’s house, and when she would not open the door he opened it with his keys. The report was taken on March 26 at 3:13 p.m.
• Millers Outpost retail store reported an employee is being followed. The male suspect told the female employee to get into his vehicle, but the employee ran into the store to get away from the suspect. The employee said she does not know the suspect but he knows her name. The report was taken at 6:56 p.m. on March 29.
• A resident of the 17400 block of Calle Mazatan reported he received a message saying that if he didn’t tell the police everything he knew, the suspect would force it out of him. The report was taken on March 31 at 4:42 p.m.
Burglary: A resident of the 17400 block of Calle Mazatan reported his mother-in-law’s checks were stolen from his garage. One of the checks was used in San Jose. The report was taken on March 31 at 4:20 p.m.
Vandalism: A resident of Darnis Circle reported someone attempted to get into his backyard by damaging the lock on his fence. The report was taken on March 27 at 11:02 a.m.
• A resident of the Morgan Village Condominiums reported someone broke the lock on his garage, apparently trying to break in. He told police there is an increase of this type of activity in the area. The report was taken at 1:34 p.m. on March 27.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident’s vehicle was hit with something while driving on Main east of Butterfield Boulevard. The rear window of the vehicle was shattered. The report was taken on March 27 at 6:38 p.m.
• Someone reported a truck parked in the 17900 block of Hillwood Lane was vandalized by a male with a baseball bat. The rear window was broken out. The report was taken at 9:25 p.m. on March 29.
• The owner of La Estrellita Jewelers said a female walked in and asked the owner for money. When the owner refused, the female broke the front window of the business. The report was taken on March 31 at 12:36 p.m.
Stolen vehicle: A Dodge Intrepid was stolen from West Dunne Avenue. The report was taken on March 27 at 6:35 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot at Albertson’s grocery store. The keys were left in the vehicle. The report was taken at 1:42 p.m. on March 27.
• A resident of West Middle Avenue reported someone stole his ATV on March 18. The report was taken on March 29 at 11:58 a.m.
Tampering with a vehicle: A resident of the 16100 block of Keith Way reported his rear license plate was stolen from his Ford Bronco. The report was taken on March 31 at 2:15 p.m.
Grand theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported her wallet was stolen from the top of her vehicle. She told police her wedding ring, valued at $2,000, was inside. Also inside was $160 in cash, identification and Social Security card. The report was taken on March 31 at 5:33 p.m.
Petty theft: Quizno’s Subs reported someone walked out of the restaurant with the jar of tips. The report was taken on March 26 at 8:10 p.m.
• A resident of the 17300 block of Tassajara Circle reported his mail was stolen from his front doorstep. The report was taken at 10:05 p.m. on March 26.
• A resident of the 1600 block of Morning Star Drive reported his mailbox was stolen overnight. The report was taken on March 27 at 11:54 a.m.
• A Britton Middle School teacher reported her checkbook was stolen from her purse in her classroom on March 26. The report was taken at 11:21 a.m. on March 30.
• Live Oak High reported someone took $10 from a locked box in the counseling office. The report was taken on March 30 at 12:01 p.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen from the shopping cart while she was in Mervyn’s. The report was taken at 3:40 p.m. on March 31.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported she was dropping her son’s friend off at the Rite Aid, and when he got out of the car, he reached back in, grabbing her purse. He took approximately $60 from the purse and ran away, leaving the purse behind. The report was taken on April 1 at 11:22 a.m.
SHERIFF
Assault and battery: A male resident reported someone drove a gold Ford Probe onto his property between 5:40 and 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 28. The resident reportedly went in front of the vehicle to talk to the driver; the vehicle started to slow down, but allegedly suddenly sped up, forcing the resident to move in order to avoid being run over. The resident then hit the car with a rake, leaving a crack in the windshield. As the suspects left, the passenger was heard yelling, “We’ll be back.” The report was taken at 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 28.
Drugs: Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Kocisko at his home, at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23 for being under the influence of methamphetamine, a misdemeanor.
• Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lisa Clark and Jason Deas at noon on Monday, March 22 at Mount Madonna. Clark was charged with being under the influence of a stimulant and Deas was charged with possession of burglary tools. Allegedly, deputies found a screwdriver, wire snips, rubber gloves, flashlight and knife in Deas’ pockets upon consent.
• Jesus Jimenez was taken to county jail on charges of suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. The report was taken at 10:30 p.m. on March 7.
• Sheriff’s deputies arrested Natasha Gilman and David Burdick at 11:45 a.m. on March 30 in Morgan Hill, after being stopped for a traffic citation. Gilman was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine, a felony. Burdick was arrested for allegedly violating parole.
• Edilberto Delgado was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies at 5:30 p.m. on March 29 for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and with a $10,000 outstanding warrant for an undisclosed suspicion. Delgado was booked into the San Jose Main Jail.
Theft: Someone stole a stereo worth $400 from a 1988 Ford Rambler RV in San Martin between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on March 22, as reported March 29.
• Two suspects allegedly stole a blue 1981 Chevy pickup between 4:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, March 26. The theft was reported at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 27.
• Someone used a male victim’s checks and account number to make purchases worth $624.84 between Feb. 16 and March 26. Suspects Isilda Boron and Lonny Candelaria are still at large for the identity theft.
