Accident: A one-vehicle accident on Cochrane Road Wednesday sent one person to the hospital and one person to county jail. Nicholas Carrillo, III, 20, of Morgan Hill was arrested and charged with felony DUI after being treated for a bruised right wrist. According to the CHP report, Carrillo was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on Cochrane Road west of Malaguerra Avenue at 8:40 a.m. He was traveling at approximately 60-65 mph when he lost control of the vehicle due, the report said, to his intoxicated state. The Sentra drifted across the road and hit a tree. Carrillo’s passenger, Jennifer Dye, 19, of Morgan Hill was treated at San Jose Medical Center for a broken right leg and released.

Tampering with a vehicle: An employee of the Super Taqueria told police someone stole the rear license plate from her vehicle the previous day. The report was taken at 2:24 p.m. on Nov. 30.

• An employee of Johnson Funeral Home told police someone stole the stickers from the license plate of his Toyota pickup. The report was taken on Dec. 1 at 3:41 p.m.

Battery: An employee of the Best Western Inn reported a co-worker hit her several times and injured her hand. She thinks the co-worker may have had a weapon of some sort. The report was taken at 4:54 p.m. on Nov. 28.

• A soccer referee said she was pushed and grabbed by a parent after a soccer game. The referee said the parent grabbed her and wouldn’t release her. She said she has no injuries. She told police she tried to take care of the incident through the soccer league but they refused to give any information about the parent or handle it through the league. The report was taken on Nov. 29 at 10:21 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone she knew “broke her door down” and came inside the residence and kicked her in the stomach. The suspect apparently left when he realized she was on the phone with police. The report was taken at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 2.

• A 17-year-old Morgan Hill female was cited and released charged with domestic violence. The report was taken on Dec. 5 at 1:50 p.m.

• A 34-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with domestic violence. The report was taken at 7:03 p.m. on Dec. 6.

• A 34-year-old Olympia, Wash., male was taken to county jail charged with spousal abuse. The report was taken on Dec. 7 at 6:22 a.m.

• A 21-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with violation of a domestic restraining order. He also had prior counts of same. The report was taken at 7:21 a.m. on Dec. 7.

Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported a Toyota truck parked in front of the residence was stolen overnight. The doors were locked and all the keys were accounted for. The report was taken on Nov. 28 at 9:13 a.m.

• Someone reported a Honda Civic was stolen from the Mervyn’s parking lot. The report was taken at 6:14 p.m. on Nov. 29.

• A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported the residents Toyota truck stolen from the parking lot. The report was taken on Dec. 1 at 4:09 p.m.

• Someone from the Sakata Seed Company reported the theft of the company’s flatbed truck. The report was taken at 8:53 a.m. on dec. 2.

Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone attempted to use her Social Security number to obtain credit to buy a Dell computer and to obtain credit at a Walmart in Georgia. The resident said she was notified because the addresses given did not match hers. The report was taken at 8:03 a.m. on Dec. 2.

• A San Martin resident told police checks were stolen from his home and several were cashed at the Bank of the West branch in Morgan Hill. The total amount of checks cashed was $2,750. The report was taken on Dec. 2 at 10:19 a.m.

• A pharmacist at the Safeway grocery store reported someone called in a fraudulent prescription for Vicadin. The report was taken at 3:39 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Petty theft: A manager at Mervyn’s reported they had retained a shoplifter who stole a watch. The report was taken at 2:52 p.m. on Nov. 29.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her cell phone stolen from the Starbucks restaurant on Walnut Grove. The report was taken on Dec. 1 at 1:14 p.m.
