MORGAN HILL POLICE
Grand theft: A bike, valued at approximately $500, was reported stolen from in front of the M and H Tavern. The report was taken on Dec. 5 at 6:49 p.m.
• A resident of San Pedro Avenue reported someone took the tires and rims from his GMC Yukon overnight. The report was taken at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 8.
• A resident of the 16900 block of John Telfer Drive reported a cement elephant fountain was stolen from the front yard the day before. The report was taken on Dec. 12 at 8:21 a.m.
• Alpha Home Medical Supply reported a wheelchair was rented to a woman who has since died. When the daughter of the woman was contacted for return of the wheelchair, the daughter said she sold the wheelchair. The report was taken at 1:17 p.m. on Dec. 12.
• A resident of the 200 block of West Dunne Avenue reported that her jewelry, which was in a bag in a drawer in her bedroom, was stolen, including ruby earrings, a gold chain with a diamond, gold earrings, a string of pearls, a ring and a gold cross with diamonds. She also told police she had a homeless woman living in her home for a 10-day period in October but does not know when the jewelry was taken. The report was taken on Dec. 17 at 2:42 p.m.
• A resident of the Archstone Apartment Homes reported five newspaper machines stolen over the past week, from locations around Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 1:12 p.m. on Dec. 19.
• Turner Construction reported that a $10,000 pump was stolen from the Sobrato High School construction site. The gate and chain lock were broken, and other equipment was stolen. The report was taken on Dec. 22 at 7:51 a.m.
Burglary: Gary Moor and Associates reported someone broke into the business while it was closed for the week and stole two computers, a copier and other items. The report was taken on Dec. 28 at 7:45 p.m.
• A locked shed at the UltraMar gas station was broken into and Pepsi products were stolen from the shed. The report was taken at 9:07 a.m. on Dec. 29.
Vandalism: A resident of Spring Avenue reported her mailbox was damaged and the mail was stolen. The report was taken at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 16.
• A resident of the 17100 block of Tassajara Circle reported someone went into his side yard and disconnected his phone line from his house. He told police the alarm system is hooked up to the phone line. The report was taken on Dec. 16 at 7:51 p.m.
• Elegant Stone reported two of work trucks were vandalized overnight. The trucks were reportedly “stripped” of their parts. The report was taken at 7:10 p.m. on Dec. 22.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported an “ex-friend” scratched her Ford Escape with a rock while it was parked behind the Del Monte Townhomes. The report was taken on Dec. 23 at 10:56 a.m.
