Burglary:
• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone broke into his rental
house on East Main Avenue. A lawn mower and a chain saw were
stolen. The side door was damaged to gain entry. The report was
taken on March 5 at 2pm.

• Pings Mongolian Restaurant on Monterey Road reported the business was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and the cash register was stolen. The report was taken at 11:14am on March 6.

Tampering with a motor vehicle:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone tried to steal the tires from his vehicle while it was parked at El Capri Restaurant on Monterey Road. The tires were not stolen but the “bolts” were. The report was taken on March 4 at 11:28am.

Threats:

• A resident of Garden Way reported she is receiving threatening calls from an ex-friend in Stockton. The suspect asked the resident out on a date, and when she rejected him, he began calling her constantly, sometimes 70 times a day. He calls from his mother’s cell phone, she told police. She said he knows where she attends school and has threatened to kidnap her from school. He has told her that “if he can’t have her, no one will.” He has threatened to kill her, she said, and has told her that he “cuts himself.” The report was taken on Feb. 23 at 3:43pm.

• A resident of Church Street reported a suspect she knows has been hiding in the bushes at the residence for several nights, jumping out of the bushes and scaring her when she comes home. She told police she was afraid to get out of her car because of prior arguments with him. She does not have a restraining order against him, she said, but is in the process of obtaining one. She said he “keeps telling her that he can’t stop thinking about her and can’t live without her.” She later told police he had disabled her car alarm and was standing outside telling her he needed to talk to her, to open the door. The report was taken at 11:08pm on Feb. 24.

• A resident of Morning Star Drive reported a female called the resident approximately 14 times during the day threatening to kill her and to take her kids away. The resident knows the suspect and gave police the name. The report was taken on Feb. 25 at 8:34pm.

Grand theft:

• A resident of Barcelona Court reported someone stole her husband’s cordless drill, Milwaukee straight drill and a set of Lennox tools, total estimated value of $7,500, from the unlocked utility bed of her husband’s Ford truck overnight. The report was taken on Feb. 16 at 6:28pm.

• A resident of La Bella Court reported the rims were removed from the resident’s vehicle. The resident said her husband may have seen a suspect. The report was taken on Feb. 21 at 6:06am.

• A resident of the 18500 block of Old Monterey Road reported a Honda generator, valued at $2,000, was stolen from the back of her truck. She told police the generator needed several people to move. The report was taken at 12:04pm on Feb. 26.
