• A 17-year-old Gilroy male was cited and released charged with auto theft. In the same case, Ignacio G. Gueta, Jr., 18, of Morgan Hill was taken to county jail charged with possession of stolen property. The report was taken on June 9 at 10:50pm.

• John P. Hamm, 30, listed as a transient was cited and released for trespassing. The report was taken at 8:59am on June 10.

• Francisco G. Vasquez, 18, of Morgan Hill was cited and released charged with indecent exposure. The report was taken on June 14 at 8:23pm.

• George L. Aguayo, 33, of Morgan Hill was taken to county jail charged with delaying or resisting an officer, evading a police officer. He also had an outstanding warrant on a drug charge. The report was taken at 5:04pm on June 17.

• A 14-year-old Gilroy male was cited and released charged with petty theft and possession of alcohol. The report was taken on June 17 at 9:31pm.

• Summer J. Harrison, 28, of Morgan Hill was taken to county jail charged with possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of paraphernalia, possession of false identification; she also had seven outstanding warrants. In the same case, Sabrina H. Barnes, 26, of Cupertino was also taken to county jail charged with possession of paraphernalia and with one outstanding warrant. The report was taken at 2:06am on June 18.

• Don S. Tarvid, 43, Morgan Hill was cited and released on suspicion of being drunk in public. The report was taken on June 22 at 9:40pm.

• Rosa M. Castillo, 20, of San Martin and Araceli M. Castillo, 34, of San Martin were cited and released charged with petty theft after an incident at Mervyn’s in Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The report was taken on July 3 at 6:12pm.

• Miguel M. Garcia, 22, of Morgan Hill was cited and released on suspicion of being drunk in public. He also had an outstanding warrant for the same charge. The report was taken at 7:17pm on July 4.

• John S. Hawkins, 62, listed as a transient, was taken to county jail charged with trespassing. The report was taken on July 6 at 7:50pm.

Battery

• A 41-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with domestic battery. The report was taken on June 27 at 1:26am.

• A 31-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to county jail charged with domestic violence and a restraining order violation. The report was taken at 4:07pm on June 27.

• Earl Tyus, 51, listed as a transient, was taken to county jail charged with battery. He also had an outstanding $27,000 warrant for trespassing. The report was taken on July 5 at 11:20am.

Driving under

• Alex D. Buck, 19, of Morgan Hill was cited and released. He was also charged with resisting or delaying an officer. The report was taken on June 11 at 12:56am.

• Gordon L. Berg, 40, of Suisun City was taken to county jail. He was also charged with child endangerment and driving on a suspended license. He was arrested after an accident with injury. The report was taken on June 29 at 6:46pm.

• Alphonso A. Garcia, 56, of Santa Ana was cited and released. The report was taken at 12:02am on July 5.

Vandalism

• A resident of Peak Avenue reported the back window of her PT Cruiser was shattered. The report was taken at 2:49pm on July 12.

• A resident of the Crest Avenue Apartments reported the side window of his truck was broken. The report was taken at 4:02 p.m. on July 23.

• Live Oak High School on East Main Avenue reported someone “tagged” a vehicle in the agricultural area and one of the animals with black spray paint. The report was taken on July 26 at 7:23 a.m.

• A resident of Sierra Morena Court reported someone made a small hole in her bedroom window. The residence was not entered, so she thinks it may be retaliation from her ex-boyfriend. The report was taken at 9:58 a.m. on July 28.

• A resident of Berry Court reported both front windows of her residence were shattered. The report was taken at 10:27pm on July 2.

Robbery

• Northside Market on Monterey Road reported someone smashed the glass on the door of the business and took approximately $250 from the cash register. The suspect allegedly had a weapon in his sweatshirt pocket. The report was taken on July 13 at 6:46am.

Controlled substance

• Armando Castaneda, 32, of San Martin was taken to county jail, and Carlee G. Crum, 32, of San Martin was cited and released. Castaneda was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest, possession of narcotics in a vehicle. The report was taken on June 13 at 9:37pm.

• Leonard J. Ross, Jr., 40 of San Jose was taken to county jail. He was also charged with possession of a syringe and parole violation. The report was taken at 3:30pm on June 24.

• Joseph L. Hill, 43, of Morgan Hill was cited and released. The report was taken on July 2 at 12:10am.

• Robert L. Garcia, 32, of Gilroy was cited and released. He was also charged with resisting or delaying an officer and possession of paraphernalia. The report was taken on June 26 at 8:04am.

•Sidney A. Enck, 40, of Morgan Hill and Sergio Valentia Jr., of Morgan Hill were cited and released. They were both also charged with appropriation of lost property, and Valentia was also charged with possession of fireworks.

• Richard K. Sarmiento, 34, of Morgan Hill was cited and released. The report was taken at 10:49pm on July 2.

Sheriff’s Department

Burglary 8 5 4

•A burglar entered an equipment by cutting a lock to the front gate and stole a mini tower computer and an orange 1997 GMC Safari Van. The driver was last seen going West on Fitzgerald Avenue in San Martin, as reported at 9:15pm Saturday, July 31.

• A burglar pried open the door and took a lawn mower, 4 wheels and rims, and a car stereo out of a 1970 Chevy Impala which was located on Bolsa Road between 7:30am and 4pm Friday, July 30.

•A burglar stole a roto tiller and a jack hammer, worth a total of about $998, from a property on Frazier Lake Road between July 13 and 27, as reported at 5:25pm Tuesday, July 27.

• A burglar cut the outside fence and lock of Windmill Mini Storage on Sycamore in San Martin and took stereo speakers worth about $400 between 2:27 and 5:26am July 27, as reported at 8am July 27.

• A burglar stole a Playstation 2, two air rifles, 21 baseball caps, a sleeping bag and 100 CDs from a residence on Denio Avenue between 7:30 and 4:15pm July 26, as reported at 4:40pm July 26.

Theft

• A thief used a Monterey Road resident’s Visa number between July 2 and 11 to open a Dish Network account, as reported at 1:15pm Friday, July 30.

• A thief stole $600 in various bills from a vehicle on Center Avenue between 9pm Wednesday, July 28 at 6:45am Thursday, July 29. Latent prints were recovered from the scene.
