Tampering with a vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone tried to steal his Ford Ranger while it was parked in front of A+ Dry Cleaners. One of the pickup’s windows was broken, and all the tires were stolen. The suspect(s) left tools and a hyudraulic jack behind. The report was taken on April 24 at 7:45 a.m.

Auto burglary: A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported that itmes were stolen from her unlcoked vehicle overnight, including the registration, the disabled placard and insurance information. The report was taken on April 24 at 3:36 p.m.

Threats: A resident of the 16800 block of Barnell Avenue reported that a suspect known to the resident urinated on the resident’s car because the resident is gay. The report was taken on April 24 at 11:37 a.m.

Petty theft: An employee of Hair by Christi Scafani Stoner reported her cell phone was stolen while she was at work. The report was taken on April 24 at 10:09 a.m.

Burglary: A resident of the 18500 block of Hale Avenue reported the resience was broken into overnight through a kitchen window. Nothing was taken. The report was taken on April 25 at 9:56 a.m.

Child abuse: A Britton Middle School student reported her mother grabbed her hair and hit her several times. The report was taken on April 23 at 11:07 a.m.

Vandalism: Two Live Oak High students allegedly wrote all over a vehicle parked at the school with some type of marker that will not wash off. The report was taken on April 23 at 3:37 p.m.

Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident said he parked his utility trailer at Jarvis Drive and Butterfield Boulevard several months ago and just noticed the trailer was missing. The report was taken on April 23 at 9:04 a.m.

GILROY POLICE

Fraud: Gilroy police arrested James Gonzales Soto, 52, of 780 Fisher Road, Morgan Hill, Tuesday, May 4 at 11:47 p.m., at 390 Leavesley Road on a warrant for an alleged false insurance claim, a felony.
