Petty theft:

• A resident of Hilltop Court reported her digital camera was stolen from her home, possibly during the time the home was being remodeled. The report was taken on Sept. 23 at 11:04am.

• A resident of the 400 block of Corte Arqueta reported her purse was stolen the night before. The purse contained a cell phone, identification, two ATM cards and three or four credit cards. The report was taken at 2:01pm on Sept. 23.

• A resident of the 16900 block of Helene Lane reported that within the last two weeks his mail was stolen. The report was taken on Sept. 23 at 5:33pm.

• A resident of the 1700 block of Shady Hollow Drive reported sometime after 11pm mail was stolen from her mailbox and neighbors’ mailboxes. The report was taken at 8:22am on Sept. 27.

• A bicycle was stolen from the Paradise Motel. The report was taken on Sept. 27 at 4:14pm.

• Ultramar on Monterey Road reported a suspect stole an 18-pack of beer. The report was taken at 1:19am on Sept. 29.

• A property owner in the 16600 block of Joleen Way reported someone stole two “no parking” signs he put up on the property. The report was taken on Sept. 29 at 10:27am.

• A Live Oak High student reported her cell phone was stolen from her backpack while she was at school. The report was taken at 6:07pm on Sept. 29.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his cell phone was stolen while he was at the Morgan Hill Car Wash on Monterey Road. The report was taken on Oct. 2 at 12:50pm.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her purse was stolen while she was at the Aquatic Center on Condit Road. The report was taken at 4:46pm on Oct. 2.

• A resident of the 18200 block of Hale Avenue reported two monthly checks from the county were apparently stolen from her mailbox. She told police she had not received the checks, and she verified with the county that they were mailed over a week earlier. The report was taken on Oct. 4 at 12:20pm.

Identity theft:

• A resident of the Creekside Village Townhomes reported two separate suspects have been using the resident’s Social Security number. The report was taken on Sept. 20 at 1:25pm.

• A resident of Lindo Court reported she found out from the county welfare department that someone is using her son’s Social Security number. The report was taken at 4:02pm on Sept. 20.

• A resident of the 16600 block of San Benito Place reported someone used the resident’s Social Security number to open an AT&T Wireless account and make charges of $988. The report was taken on Sept. 28 at 4:03pm.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported he discovered that someone opened a checking account in his mom’s name. The report was taken at 5:06pm on Oct. 3.

Burglary:

• Cidco Communications on Cochrane Circle reported there was a break-in over the weekend, and computers were stolen. There was no clear point of entry. The report was taken on Sept. 13 at 11:39am.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone broke into his locked motor home and stole a VCR, a radio and some remotes. The report was taken at 1:03pm on Sept. 15.

• A resident of the Morgan Hill Apartments reported someone came into his residence and tried to get into the bathroom where his wife was taking a shower. The suspect took some money but could not get into the locked bathroom. The report was taken on Sept. 15 at 1:51pm.

• JBM Custom Cabinets on Church Street reported someone broke into the business through the roof and stole tools valued at $3,000. The report was taken at 10:18am on Sept. 27.

• A resident of Woodland Acres reported tools and golf clubs were stolen from the resident’s unlocked garage. The report was taken on Oct. 2 at 2:42pm.

• A resident of Carmelo Court reported a pocket bike was stolen from the resident’s locked garage. The report was taken at 6:16pm on Oct. 2.

• A resident of the 16900 block of Sorrel Way reported two mountain bikes were stolen from the resident’s garage. The report was taken on Oct. 3 at 9:40am.

Tampering with

a vehicle:

• A resident of Darnis Circle reported someone jacked up his Saturn sedan and stole one of the vehicle’s wheels and tires, with a value of approximately $500. The report was taken on Sept. 13 at 5:37pm.

Battery:

• A resident of Carriage Drive reported her 19-year-old daughter “attacked” her, pulled her hair and punched her in the face. The daughter told police she pushed her mom back. The report was taken on Sept. 13 at 9:03pm.

• One of medics in an ambulance transporting a female suspect was assaulted by the female. The assault started in front of the police department and continued in the vehicle. The report was taken on Sept. 25 at 2:59pm.
