• A resident of the 16800 block of Barnell Avenue reported the resident’s neighbor threw a weight through the resident’s window. The resident told police the resident did not actually see the neighbor throw the weight, but it came from the neighbor’s side of the fence. The report was taken on July 4 at 8:47 a.m.
• South County Chevrolet reported someone ripped the lock boxes off and
damaged two vehicles, one with a broken window overnight. The report was taken at 10:06 a.m. on July 5.
• A resident of the 500 block of Baree Drive reported suspects were setting off fireworks in her neighborhood and several of them landed on her Toyota pickup, making burn marks. The report was taken on July 5 at 1:03 p.m.
• A resident of the Creekside Village Townhomes reported a bullet hole on the roof of the resident’s Nissan Altima. The report was taken at 10:05 p.m. on July 5.
• The Gunter Brothers Feed Company building was vandalized, apparently by transients who had been staying in the building. The report was taken on July 6 at 4:17 p.m.
• A resident of Calle Asta reported damage to her rose bushes and other things in her yard. She told police small metal American flags were also stolen. The report was taken at 11:25 p.m. on July 8.
Burglary: A resident of Lindo Court reported someone took a bike from her garage. She told police she had left a side garage door open. The report was taken on June 26 at 6:23 p.m.
• National Productions reported that the front door was “busted open,” and the business had been burglarized. It was not clear at the time of the report what items were stolen. The report was taken on June 30 at 6:27 a.m.
• A resident of Keystone Avenue reported within the last week the residence was burglarized, probably through an open rear sliding door. Birth certificates, 250 CDs, a laptop, miscellaneous computer items, baseball tickets and collectible items were stolen. The suspect(s) left a knife behind, the resident said. The report was taken at 11:29 a.m. on June 27.
• Sobrato High reported someone broke into one of the buildings under construction and stole workers’ tools. The report was taken at 7:12 a.m. on July 9.
Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Chrysler was broken into while it was parked at the 24 Hour Fitness Club. A window was shattered, and her house keys were stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken on June 23 at 8:55 p.m.
• A resident of the 100 block of Berkshire Drive reported someone broke into her Honda Accord overnight. The driver’s side window was cracked. She told police she heard her car alarm go off at 3 a.m. and when she got to the door she heard a vehicle drive off. An expensive purse and a checkbook were stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken at 8:46 a.m. on June 25.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his Buick Park Avenue was broken into while it was parked at St. Catherine School. The lock was removed from the trunk of the Buick and a rear window was broken. The dashboard was detached, and the glove compartment had been tampered with. The report was taken on June 28 at 5:58 p.m.
• A resident of the 16900 block of Barnell Avenue reported her cell phone was stolen from her unlocked vehicle overnight. The report was taken at 10:04 a.m. on July 2.
• A resident of the 15400 block of La Mar Drive reported someone broke into the resident’s locked Dodge Dakota overnight. The stereo was stolen, but it was unclear at the time of the report if other items were stolen from the truck. The report was taken on July 3 at 6:31 a.m.
• A resident of La Mesa court reported someone entered the resident’s unlocked Volkswagen and stole the stereo, CD player, several CDs, a backpack and the car’s registration. The report was taken at 7:44 a.m. on July 6.
• A resident of the Crest Avenue Apartments reported someone broke into
the resident’s locked Dodge Ram and stole a 10 disc CD player, a toolbox and tools and attempted to steal the battery but apparently could not. The resident told police the suspect(s) left behind a map with a greasy handprint. The report was taken on July 7 at 9:07 a.m.
• A customer of Las Palmas restaurant reported someone threw a spark plug into the rear window of the customer’s locked Suburban. A camera was missing from the vehicle. The report was taken at 5:20 p.m. July 7.
