Auto burglary:

• Two locked vehicles were broken into while parked at the 24 Hour Fitness Club in Tennant Station. A purse, wallet and cell phone were stolen from one of the vehicles. The report was taken on Jan. 3 at 10:23am.

• A resident of the 500 block of La Crosse Drive reported the resident’s locked Toyota Paseo was broken into while the resident was on vacation. The report was taken at 12:51pm on Jan. 4.

Stolen vehicle:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported the resident’s Toyota Camry was stolen from the parking lot of the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The resident told police the locked vehicle was left there two nights before, and no one else has keys to the vehicle. The report was taken on Jan. 3 at 11:49am.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported a male juvenile, possibly a 16- or 17-year-old, asked him if he wanted a ride in a stolen Honda Accord parked in the back parking lot of the apartment complex. The vehicle was reportedly recovered by police. The report was taken at 12:35am on Jan. 4.

Battery:

• Sobrato High School reported two students were fighting on the campus. The students were riding the bus home from Martin Murphy Middle School and got off the bus while it was waiting for Sobrato students. The report was taken on Jan. 4 at 3:31pm.

Petty theft:

• AM/PM Mini Mart reported a suspect that has stolen from the store “many times” took several items from the store without paying and ran. The suspect is on videotape. The report was taken on Dec. 31 at 5:40pm.

• Mervyn’s reported two girls were caught attempting to take merchandise from the store. The report was taken on Jan. 2 at 7:19pm.

Tampering with

a motor vehicle:

• A resident of Casa Grande Court reported someone stole the four wheel covers from the resident’s Cadillac. The report was taken on Dec. 17 at 8:26am.

• A locked vehicle parked on Technology Drive was broken into, and the ignition had been tampered with, possibly in an attempt to hotwire the vehicle. Nothing was stolen from. The report was taken on Dec. 17 at 10:41am.

Child Abuse:

• A Morgan Hill resident reported a neighbor was babysitting the resident’s children, and while they were there, the neighbor’s 13-year-old son allegedly sexually molested the resident’s 5-year-old son. The report was taken on Dec. 27 at 6:53pm.
