A Hollister police captain said detectives are continuing to investigate Saturday’s stabbing homicide on Sunnyslope Road. The department has not released new details since identifying the victim Monday, while the police official said he would promptly inform the public when any major revelations occur.Â
Hollister police Monday identified the fatal victim in the early Saturday stabbing as Jesse Anthony Saldivar, 18, of Morgan Hill.Â
It occurred about 3 a.m. Saturday, said Capt. David Westrick of the Hollister police.Â
Westrick said investigators have leads in the case, while late Wednesday he said the department had no new major details to release to the public.Â
After police were dispatched to a report of a fight, they located Saldivar in a driveway on Sunnyslope Road, west of Valley View Road, suffering from chest trauma. Despite life-saving efforts by AMR and the Hollister Fire Department, responders pronounced the victim deceased a short time later. Â
The Hollister Police Department said it is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects in this incident.Â
