Southwest MH home burglarized, car stolen
A home on Saint Timothy Place in southwest Morgan Hill was “ransacked” in an apparent burglary, police said.
The resident of the home arrived at the house about 11:40 p.m. Dec. 31 and found the side window of the home broken out, according to police. The resident found the home in disarray upon entering.
Stolen from outside the home was the resident’s 2005 gray Honda Civic, which was recovered the same evening from the 700 block of San Pedro Avenue, police said. No other stolen items were found in the vehicle.
The resident told police that she and her husband left home about 6:30 p.m. that night and returned about 11:40 p.m., according to police reports.

Woman uses iPhone to remotely find stolen device
A woman whose new iPhone 4S was stolen from a local establishment found the device by using its internal GPS, according to police.
The woman reported the theft about 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to police reports. The phone was stolen the previous day from inside Morgan Hill Bowl at Tennant Station.
Using the phone’s GPS finder, the woman found the phone inside a silver Jeep parked outside the bowling alley, police said. The phone was reclaimed and returned to the victim.

Teen jumped, robbed outside Village Avante
A 16-year-old male was beaten up and robbed at the corner of Cosmo and Del Monte avenues, police said.
The incident happened about 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. The victim told police he was attacked by an unknown Hispanic male, about 19 years old, between 6-feet and 6-feet, 2-inches tall and 180 pounds.
The suspect jumped the victim and took his cell phone and shoes, and then ran east through the Village Avante apartment complex, police said.
The victim was taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital for unspecified injuries, according to police reports.
