A resident of a home on the 200 block of Wright Avenue returned home to find his front door wide open, and his bedroom ransacked. His television, DVD player and cable box were missing. It looked like the thief or thieves entered the home through a window on the side of the house. The crime was reported 5:44 p.m. Tuesday.
Defrauding an innkeeper
Someone driving a silver BMW had a smog check service at Kwik Serve, 17015 Monterey Rd., and left without paying. The crime was reported 5:26 p.m. Wednesday.
Grand theft
Someone stole a tailgate and both tail lights from a vehicle on the sales lot of the Ford Store, 17045 Condit Rd. The value of the stolen items is about $2,000. The crime was reported 9:34 a.m. Thursday.
