Vandalism

Someone reportedly poured sugar into the gas tank of a Dodge Dakota owned by a resident of La Crosse Drive, police said. The crime was reported about 11:30 a.m. Jan. 4. The victim said he or she was sleeping the previous night, and heard a noise outside and saw someone placing the sugar in the pickup’s tank. The suspect allegedly left the scene in a black Acura Integra. 

Stolen library card

Someone stole a library card from a resident and racked up more than $1,000 in late fees, police said. The crime was reported about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 4. The identity thief had been using the victim’s Santa Clara County library card and password to check out books on the library’s website and pick them up at the Morgan Hill library.
