Evading a peace officer
- Two men wearing dark clothing fled in a 1996 gold Infiniti Q30 during a traffic stop, 2:35 a.m. Sunday, near Casa de Fruta in Hollister. The men abandoned the vehicle shortly after and fled, leaving behind several containers filled with liquid labeled as insecticides. Deputies had the vehicle towed.
Found property
- A set of keys was found, 2 p.m. Jan. 14, on the 10000 block of Monterey Road.

A black canvas bag with red handles containing miscellaneous property was turned into the South County Sheriff’s Substation, 80 Highland Ave., 8:30 a.m. Dec. 26. The owner of the bag only wanted some of the property, and the rest was submitted for destruction.

License plate theft

Vandalism
- Three street signs were spray painted with red and gray markings, causing more than $400 in damage, reported 10:30 a.m. Jan. 13, near Scheller and Dougherty avenues in Morgan Hill.
