Auto burglary
Someone broke into a blue Acura TLX at the Residence Inn, 18620 Madrone Parkway, and stole a purse with a wallet and credit cards inside. The crime was reported 8:13am March 4.
A thief or thieves smashed a window of a Buick Enclave at Hampton Inn, 16115 Condit Road, and stole camera equipment. The crime was reported 9:19am March 4.
Someone broke into a 2001 Honda Accord on the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue and ransacked the vehicle. The crime was reported 6:55am Feb. 25.
Numerous vehicles were broken into outside the Cochrane Village Apartment Complex, 18555 Butterfield Boulevard. A suspect or suspects tampered with the ignition of a GMC Yukon Denali, and pried open the trunk and driver’s side door on a 2000 Honda. Other vehicles’ trunks were pried open, and others were rummaged through. The crimes were reported 6:56am Feb. 25.
A thief or thieves broke into a pickup on the 500 block of Calle Siena, and stole the victim’s son’s baseball equipment and other items. The total loss was about $700 worth of stolen items. The crime was reported 6:08pm Feb. 26.
Petty theft
A thief or thieves stole a car manual, registration paperwork, coins and a machete knife from an unlocked 2008 Honda Accord on the 17600 block of Bentley Drive. The crime was reported 2:01pm Feb. 25.
Stolen vehicle
Someone stole a white Chevrolet utility truck from a spot on West Second Street. The crime was reported 5:38am March 5.
A thief or thieves stole a black 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup from the 17600 block of Bentley Drive. The crime was reported 8:23am March 5.
A green Honda Civic, reported stolen out of Gilroy, was recovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 15200 block of La Alameda Drive in Morgan Hill. The vehicle was reported recovered 6:30pm Feb. 26.
