Auto burglary
Someone broke into a white Ford van on Wright Avenue about 4:20 p.m. Jan. 19. Stolen were tools.
Someone entered a Chevrolet Suburban at Target, 1061 Cochrane Road, and stole about $30 worth of quarters. The crime was reported 12:15 p.m. Jan. 18.
Stolen vehicle
A thief or thieves stole a 2007 Ford van on Fennel Court. The theft was reported 7:48 a.m. Jan. 20.
Someone stole a white Mercedes-Benz from a parking spot at Royal Court Apartments, 17937 Monterey Road.
Animal control
A goat was wandering in the road on Claremont Drive. The incident was reported 9:19 a.m. Jan. 18.
A resident near the intersection of De Anza Court and Easy Street reported a large mountain lion in the area, standing on a fallen tree. The sighting was reported 2:39 a.m. Jan. 19.
Grand theft
Someone who performed work inside a home on Creekside Court stole about $1,500 worth of jewelry, according to the homeowner. The theft was reported 3:27 p.m. Jan. 18.
Fraud
A resident of La Canada Court was a victim of timeshare resale fraud. The victim transferred $19,900 to companies in Colorado and Texas that pocketed the money without providing promised real estate. The crime was reported 10:15 a.m. Jan. 19.
Petty theft
Someone stole a purse from the front seat of a vehicle at Safeway, 235 Tennant Station. The female victim told police her credit card was later used at a Subway restaurant in Morgan Hill, where the thief made a $25 purchase. The theft was reported 10:41 a.m. Jan. 17.
